Natural laundry

This basic detergent cleans clothes as well as branded commercial cleaners at exorbitant prices; it costs just a lot less.

  1. Mix all ingredients in a two-liter (half-gallon) container. Pour some of the solution into the spray bottle. Shake well before each use.
  2. Spray the liquid on the stain and let sit for three to five minutes. Wash as you are used to.

Softener

Here’s a simple recipe to keep your tissues soft and fluffy. It is much softer for your clothes than commercial softeners, and much nicer for your wallet.

  • 50 g (1/4 cup) of baking soda
  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) white vinegar.
  1. Fill the washing machine with water.
  2. Add the baking soda and then the clothes.
  3. During the final rinse cycle, add the vinegar (pour it into the fabric softener dispenser if your washing machine has one).
